Lemonade
In September 2012, Crews expanded its food and beverage operation in LAX with the opening of “Lemonade” in Terminal 5 (Delta). “Lemonade” offers seasonal Southern California comfort food in a fast-casual cafeteria setting. Travelers to and from Los Angeles can enjoy a delicious healthy change of pace from the expected “dreaded” airport food.
“Lemonade” caters to travelers looking for a quick breakfast, healthy “grab and go” lunch or dinner. Lemonade LAX was recently featured on CNN as a key reason LAX ranked the ninth (9) healthiest airport in the U.S in 2012. Lemonade LAX is a comfortable place where visitors enjoy a rotating daily spread of deliciousness. Lemonade LAX provides passengers with a “on the go” healthy dining experience. Lemonade features seasonal specials such as quinoa spring vegetables salad, faro snow peas heirloom tomatoes and gribiche sauce salad and beluga lentils mushrooms alá grecqué feta and red pepper salad. Kiosk decadent desserts will delight passengers with options including chocolate buttercream cupcakes, red velvet cake and white chocolate cranberry cookies. Signature lemonades include blueberry mint, peach ginger and cucumber mint to quench passenger’s thirst.
Crews of California’s partnership with local chef, Alan Jackson, the man behind Lemonade Restaurant Group, is exposing the world to how the Lemonade concept marries quality and convenience beautifully. Jackson is transforming a symbol of old-time simplicity into modern day comfort food. “Lemonade” is describable sunshine. A recent Quick Serve Restaurant Magazine article calls Lemonade the future of quick serve restaurants stating, “Not since Kogi BBQ has there been such excitement about a West Coast quick-service concept. But this one feels bigger to me; more important, more universal, less trendy, and at the tip of the innovation triangle.” Lemonade currently operates throughout many prominent areas of Southern California including Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, Brentwood, West Hollywood, University of Southern California, The Museum of Contemporary Art, the trendy Abbot Kinney neighborhood, Larchmont (mid-city), Westlake Village, Manhattan Beach and Fashion Island. Crews is in discussion for the placement of Lemonade kiosks and full service stores throughout multiple locations at LAX.
